description |
|
This Lycopod cone is approximately 320 million years old and has wonderful detail on each half of the split nodule, there is also seed preservation. This locality has now been back filled, so these wonderful Carboniferous fossils are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This fine specimen resided in the late Professor GORDON WALKDEN collection and was first discovered in 1996. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
