description |
|
This exceptionally rare middle liassic ammonite has been preserved in solid calcite and has an immaculate centre. The specimen has been fully prepared and was discovered in 1988. Prince Charles cave is virtually impossible to get to and is incredibly hard work to collect these rare specimens one you are there. The ammonite lies in a small piece of matrix which has a cut base for upright display. Approximately 190 million years old. One for the discerning collector. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
