description |
|
This really aesthetic fossil was discovered in 1984 during a temporary exposure by the late John Huxtable and has since been fully prepared. The ammonite is slightly distorted but this adds to its appeal. At the base of the matrix lies a jumble of calcified belemnites, which really makes the whole piece The matrix at the base has been cut flat for upright display, and attached to this is a non slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on fragile surfaces. A unique and rare 170 million year old natural piece of art for either the collector or around the home or office as a wonderful conversation piece. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
