description |
|
This classic liassic ammonite has been mostly preserved in chamosite, an iron rich based mineral that gives it a green colour. This specimen was discovered circa 1995. These ammonites from this locality are very difficult to obtain thesedays and all the quarries closed and back filled some twenty five years ago. A lovely drawer specimen for the collector. Approximately 200 million years old. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
