| description |
|
| This magnificent specimen as discovered by David Sole in the early 1990's and fully prepared over many hours by Andy Cowap, using traditional methods, not iron powder. The ammonite itself has been preserved in light yellow calcite and cleaned both sides. This type of oolithic ammonite is highly ribbed and will make a unique and stunning display piece for either the home or office space and is approximately 167 million years old. This famous fossil locality has been a caravan site now for 30 years and so these ammonites are becoming very hard to obtain thesedays. A marvellous addition for any collection. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. A display stand is also included with this fossil. |
