|
This very rare bear molar is approximately 1.5 million years old and was discovered in 1974. The preservation and patina on the tooth is magnificent. This complex cave system was discovered in 1969 after a quarrying operation. This is a world famous locality and any collecting is strictly forbidden, with the whole site being a SSSI. This tooth resided in the late Professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. A very important mammalian fossil for the serious collector. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. |
