description |
|
This fantastic specimen was collected in 1890 and was part of a collection from the University of East Anglia .Old Victorian fossil specimens are highly collectable,. This gastropod has a slightly different opening and so maybe? a new species of Cassideria. There is a small patch of restoration on then shell's reverse side, done in Victorian times. This gastropod resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection since 1980 after an exchange was completed with the museum. Fossils Direct is a collectors website. |
