| description |
|
| This classic chalk echinoid is approximately 85 million years old and lies on a small block of chalk. This echinoid lived as an omniverous grazer on shells and sponges on the chalk sea floor. There are a few club spines still attached to the test which is a lovely and aesthetic feature. This specimen was discovered in 1989 and has resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. Approximately 85 million years old. One for the discerning collector. |
