description |
|
This very rare multi ammonite fossil was discovered in 1987 after stormy seas churned up the coast. To get one of this type of ammonite from tis locality is rare, but to get a multi piece is exceptionally rare and one of only three multi pieces we have heard about. Many days of preparation have gone into this fossil in the early 1990's. Serious collectors of very rare liassic ammonites will really appreciate just how rare this piece actually is. It resided in the late GORDONM WALKDEN collection. Approximately 195 million years old. This highly aesthetic fossil comes with a black chrome display stand. A real one off piece. |
