| description |
|
| This Carpoid is a member of an extinct group of unusual echinoderms, and are related to starfish and sea urchins. This wonderful specimen is approximately 470 million years old. The detail throughout the specimen is just wonderful. This fossil was collected in 1970 and resided in the late GORDON WALKDEN collection. This famous Ordovician locality hasn't been accessible to collectors now for decades now. One for the collector of excessively rare Scottish fossils. |
