description |
|
This truly magnificent trilobite is absolutely complete and has incredible detail throughout. The specimen has been preserved in hard shale and was discovered in 1968. Since its discovery, it first resided in the geological research department of Southampton university. When this closed down in the 1990's, various specimens and lapidary equipment were sold off. The recipient after was the late professor GORDON WALKDEN, lovely provenance to this specimen. Approximately 470 million years old. |
