description |
|
A stunning yellow and brown calcite ammonite prepared by Andy Cowap. This is a rare type of ammonite shell from a famous fossil locality. When time is spent on preparing these ammonites correctly, they can be absolutely wonderful. The apperture has been abraded to reveal the beautiful suture line. The matrix has a cut base for display purposes. Approximately 180 million years old. |
