description |
|
This stunning and rare ammonite displays superb sutures and wonderful colours which are very rare for this particular location. There is also a Belemnite Rostrum (Belemnopsis cf beyrichi 40mm) which has been washed up alongise the ammonite during burial. To get preservation such as this one is virtually unique. Many hours of preparation have gone into this magnificent display fossil. Approximately 180 million years old. The matrix has a cut base for ease of display. Prepared by Andy Cowap. |
