description |
|
This astonishing preservation within the same nodule displays a rare yellow coloured Xipheroceras and a lovely deep brown calcite Asteroceras. Combinations of the same colours with larger ammonites are virtually unheard of from this world famous fossil locality. Approximately 200 million years old. As a display piece this striking double ammonite fossil would grace any collection or indeed as a unique piece of art for an interior designer. Prepared by Andy Cowap. The matrix has a level base for ease of display. Becoming very rare from this location. |
