description |
|
This incredibly rare Cretaceous ammonite is virtually unheard of from Lyme Regis. this wondefully preserved specimen has superb detail throughout. The ammonite took many hours to prepare to this very high standard by Andy Cowap. Prepared virtually out of hard chert, the centre is very good. Ammonites of this calibre and rarity only very seldom come up for sale on the open market. This ammonite as far as we know, is the finest specimen of this type to come from Lyme Regis. One for the very serious collector. |
