| description |
|
| A beautiful example and wonderful display fossil prepared by Andy Cowap. The ammonite has the lappet preserved and a perfect centre. A small patch under the ventre has a breach in the shell but does not detract in any way to the overall aesthetics. There is also a bivalve preserved alongside (Neocrassina modiolaris 70mm x 60mm). The matrix has a cut base for ease of display. Approximately 167 million years old.
