| description |
|
| This stunning pair is exceptional preservation and a unique display item. Ammonites of this superb quality are very rare from this world heritage locality. It is most unusual to get one of these ammonites with virtually all open chambers. There are also hundreds of tiny calcite crystals within each chamber. The ammonite has been sliced in two, ground gem smooth, then a professional polish applied to reveal its stunning colours. Approximately 167 million years old. Very rare preservation. |
