| description |
|
| A superb 'chunky' piece of Oolithic matrix with a solid calcite sonninia ammonite which has been ground gem smooth and then a high polish applied to reveal its beautiful inner chambers. The hollow chambers of the ammonite are packed with hundreds of tiny calcite crystals. A lovely aquisition for either the collector or indeed an interior designer looking to achieve that unique look. Approximately 172 million years old. the matrix has a sturdy level base for display. |
