| You very rarely get pathological/sick ammonites in the Murchisonae Zone on Skye. In over twenty five years collecting on Bearreraig we have only seen half a dozen at most. The smaller of the two shells has grown with its keel twisted round, for the serious collector of pathological fossils this is a superb addition to a collection. Approximately 175 million years old. |
