description |
|
This important and beautifully preserved specimen was collected over ten years ago. The outer whorl has heavy ribbing, a sharp keel and progression to the perfect centre revealing multiple spines. Only occasionally do important ammonites such as this one come up for sale on the open market. Many hours have gone into preparing this wonderful Oolithic ammonite. This locality is no longer accessible to the collector. A must for the serious collector. Approximately 173 million years old. |
