description |
|
Another stunning piece of highly polished original Marsdon Magna Marble which was discovered and prepared by Andy Cowap. The detail and colouration is absolutely magnificent throughout. The calcite vein which runs across the fossil is also beautifully coloured. This extremely aesthetic piece shows many cross-sections of promicroceras marsdonensis. These famous fossils from this location were somewhat of a myth for well over two hundred years, until now. Approximately 200 million years old. |
