description |
|
Another stunning display ammonite which exhibits the 'Cat's Paws'. Many hours of preparation have gone into this wonderful, unique fossil. The centre of the ammonite is immaculate and has wonderful detail. Solid calcite ammonites from this temporary exposure were incredibly rare and so very rare thesedays. The fossil was discovered by Andy Cowap in 1998. The matrix has a cut base for ease of display. Approximately 170 million years old. |
