description |
|
This ammonite has been preserved in shades of white calcite with brown sutures and one amazing pink chamber which is one of the very rarest of colours. Scunthorpe ammonites are one of the world's most desirable fossils. This superb example lies in an aesthetic piece of matrix, and has an original centre, unlike many of the Scunthorpe ammonites you see for sale elsewhere. A great and unique conversation piece for either the serious collector or indeed an investment piece for the future. Approximately 200 million years old.
