description |

This very good quality Stephanoceras will make a very impressive display piece for either the home or indeed office space. Freshwater is located on England's Jurassic coast and is no longer accessible to the collector. The ammonite is heavily ribbed and completely matrix free, it also has a very good centre. This specimen was collected in 1992. Large Stephanoceras are becoming very difficult to obtain from U.K. Oolithic sites. A classic ammonite which is approximately 170 million years old. |
