description |
|
This fantastic example was collected in 1971 and has remained in the same collection ever since. Collecting these ammonites from this stretch of coast is not permitted thesedays, and so these natural irridescent ammonites are becoming real collectors pieces. The colours exhibited in these specimens are red, orange, green, yellow and purple. Both the shale and ammonites have been fully prepared and the main ammonite has an immaculate centre. Becoming very scarse to obtain. Approximately 200 million years old. |
