| description |
|
| An absolute classic piece with three calcite ammonites and part of a fossil branch preserved (200mm). The branch belongs to the ancient Monkey Puzzle Tree which covered vast areas around 200 million years ago. Alongside the wood lies a complete Asteroceras and a Promicroceras planicosta. Pieces of wood with ammonites are becoming incredibly scarse from this world famous locality and the woodstone nodules are unique to Black Ven. The matrix has a level base for upright display. Prepared by Andy Cowap. Approximately 200 million years old. |
