Discovered in 1976 this absolutely stunning half Asteroceras Stellare would grace any world collection or as a statement piece in the home or indeed office space. These large calcified ammonites are incredibly scarse to find thesedays from this iconic fossil locality. The ammonite half has been ground gem smooth and a clear resin poured into all the open chambers revealing wonderful colours and detail. It is just like looking into a clear rock pool!! The ammonite's centre is immaculate. Many hours of work have gone into preparing this awesome fossil. We at Fossils Direct are constantly striving to exceed our customers expectations with rare and aesthetic fossils from around the United Kingdom. This ammonite comes with a wrought iron stand for display purposes. Approximately 200 million years old. |
