description |
|
A fantastic example of this upper liassic ammonite which has been preserved in pale yellow calcite with light brown patches. This rare ammonite was first described by HYATT in 1867. Collectors of upper lias specimens will really appreciate this superb piece. Nearly all the accessible fossil collecting areas around this locality are fast becoming heavily restriced to collectors. Also with the lack of ploughing nowadays these ammonites are simply not there. |
