| description |
|
| Only very seldom does a Pavlovia of this superb quality come onto the open market for sale. The ammonite has been preserved within a larger ammonite's body chamber, thus protecting it during fossilisation. Many hours of preparation by Andy Cowap has gone into this specimen. The ammonite is composed of solid calcite and has an immaculate centre and is totally complete. This ammonite was discovered in 1973 and has remained in a box unprepared until now. Any serious collector will appreciate how rare and stunning this ammonite is. Approximately 153 million years old. |
