description |
|
This stunning example preserved in solid pyrite with an immaculate centre both sides, will make an important addition to any elite collector or collection. This is one of the largest and most perfect Crucilobiceras from Charmouth we have ever seen on Fossils Direct. The suture patterns on both sides are magnificent. Very rarely does a pyrite Crucilobiceras of this quality and size come to market for sale, we can't think of any previous. This wonderful specimen was discovered in 1989 after a huge sea battered the Charmouth cliffs. A total one off and unique ammonite which is approximately 195 million years old. |
