The half nodule has a flat base for upright display purposes. Spectactular display pieces such as this are becoming incredibly rare to find thesedays, this particular fossil was discovered in 1979 after a small landslip at the Dead Man's Tree area of Black Ven. Unique pieces such as this prepared by Andy Cowap are real collectors items and will only increase in value in the future. Each ammonite has been preserved in solid calcite and have immaculate centres. A real statement fossil in any home or indeed office space. Approximately 200 million years old. |
