description |
|
This stunning solid calcite ammonite was discovered in 1991 and has been fully prepared and polished to its centre. Conersby quarry was backfilled in around 1996 so these world class ammonites are amongst the most desirable ammonites in the world. The ammonite's colours are white and green and there is no filler or repair on the ammonite. The matrix has a cut base for upright display. This fantastic specimen has been in the Andy Cowap collection for over 20 years. Approximately 200 million years old. |
