description |
|
A classic wood and ammonite association from the "Dead Man's Tree" area of Black Ven. This woodstone was discovered in 1989 and has remained un-prepared until now. Many hours of preparation work have gone into this totally unique fossil. Black Ven is the only place on earth that these Lower Lias Ammonite and wood associations can be found and are becoming extremely difficult to find and obtain thesedays. The fossilised branch is three dimensional and belongs to the Monkey Puzzle Tree family. These wood and multi ammonite pieces are highly sought after worldwide, especially prepared in this way. Approximately 200 million years old. Prepared by Andy Cowap. |
