| description |
|
| This highly aesthetic fossil exibits and beautifully preserved Xipheroceras and alongside an Asteroceras obtusum ,a juvenile specimen. Both of these ammonites are preserved inside the living chamber of a sea worn nautilus, thus giving the ammonite shells protection and therefore the spines being preserved. Approximately 200 million years old. Preparation work was carried out by Andy Cowap. |
