| description |
|
| A beautiful specimen with most of its spines preserved. The ammonite has been preserved in pale yellow calcite and has an immaculate centre. It lies on a small piece of matrix which makes the whole piece highly aesthetic. These spiny Xipheroceras are becoming difficult to obtain from this world famous locality and take many hours of preparation. A lovely collectors fossil which is approximately 200 million years old. |
