|
This amazing example displays totally natural irridescence and the colours include greens, purple, red, orange, turquoise and the rarest colour of all, blue. This awesome specimen has been fully prepared by Andy Cowap and was discovered in 1981. All the matrix which surrounds the ammonite has also been prepared. These wonderful ammonites are becoming increasingly scarce and collecting them in situ is strictly prohibited thesedays. The matrix has a flat base for upright display. Approximately 209 million years old. |
