description |
|
This specimen is the only one we have ever seen from the British Isles. However, they do occur rarely in the Solnhofen limestone of Germany. The specimen shows the keel of an ammonite that has rolled on the sea floor and left a trace of its keel. A really rare, and wonderful conversation piece. The specimen was collected in 1998. |
