description |
|
This magnificent display fossil has been prepared by Andy Cowap and has taken many painstaking hours. The ammonite has been cleaned both sides with the added bonus of a dark brown belemnite guard which lies over the inner whorls. Fossils of this aesthetic calibre from Freshwater rarely come onto the open makret for sale, especially prepared by Andy. The ammonite has been preserved in different shades of yellow and brown calcite. The specimen is a total one off and was discovered in 1989. Approximately 167 million years old. |
