|
This one off and totally unique specimen exhibits three Caloceras with one of them being massive!!and all with natural irridescence. When turned to the light the colours are extremely vibrant and include, green, orange, red, yellow and the odd flecks of purple. The shale has a natural fracture running down its length but has been strengthened and fully prepared on all sides by Andy Cowap. The specimen is an old collection piece and was discovered in 1969. To get three Caloceras on one piece is a rare occurrence. Here at Fossils Direct we are committed to supply the very finest fossils from around the United Kingdom for our customers old and new. This superb display piece comes with a black chrome display stand. Approximately 210 million years old. Collecting from this famous locality is highly frowned upon thesedays and is a private estate and so these truly magnificent irridescent ammonites are becoming extremely scarce to obtain thesedays. |
