description |
|
This magnificent double ammonite piece has had many hours of preparation spent on it to get it to this wonderful and highly aesthetic state. The Lytoceras has been prepared both sides for maximum effect. Both ammonites are preserved in solid calcite. The matrix has a cut base and attached to it is an anti slip and scratch pad for peace of mind when displaying on glass or wooden surfaces. This totally unique fossil would make a superb statement piece for either the discerning collector or indeed an interior designer. Approximately 170 million years old. |
