| description |
|
| This wonderfully preserved classic ammonite has a beautiful high polish and exhibits lovely colours throughout. These world class ammonites come from a locality which was back filled some 20 years ago and so are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain thesedays. This particular specimen lies at the top of a large and natural piece of Frodingham ironstone with no cut base, some collectors and interior designers prefer the natural stone base and not a cut base. A classic ammonite, approximately 200 million years old. |
