| description |
|
| This very rare and highly aesthetic ammonite has had its outer whorl ground smooth and a high polish applied to reveal stunning features and colours. Its centre has not been preserved, however this ammonite is all about its outer whorl. Pictonia's of this quality, from this locality, are exceptionally rare. This specimen was discovered in 1989 and has remained in the same collection ever since. Approximately 155 million years old. When a light source is placed at the rear of the ammonite its glow is incredible! |
