description |
|
This absolutely stunning oolithic ammonite is very rare and has had many hours of preparation spent on it. UK ammonites of this quality rarely come on to the open market for sale. This temporary locality is no longer accessible to collect fossils. This wonderful ammonite would grace any collection for its sheer aesthetics. The ammonite lies on a piece of oolithic matrix which has a flat base. Approximately 170 million years old. |
