This classic ammonite has superb natural colours and is a complete shell, along with its living chamber which is rare for ammonites from this iconic locality. The ammonite has been polished to reveal wonderful sutures and amazing colours throughout. This specimen lies on a piece of Frodingham ironstone which has a cut base for upright display. These amazing ammonites are becoming a rarity to obtain thesedays, this one was discovered in 1989. A really aesthetic fossil for either the collector or as a unique item for around the home. Approximately 200 million years old. |
