description |
|
This superb example exhibits a large solid calcite ammonite preserved both sides with a Belemnite guard attached to a small piece of rock. (Belemnopsis cf.beyrichi). Also there are several worm tubes preserved on the ammonite's whorls. The specimen was discovered in 1990 from an iconic oolithic locality, it has now been a caravan site for the past 30 years. A beautiful and completely unique fossil for either the collector or indeed an interior designer. Approximately 167 million years old. Fossils Direct is a collectors website. |
