description |
|
This incredible fossil was discovered and prepared by Andy Cowap in 2006. To get preserved on the same piece of stone a Parkinsonia & Spiroceras is exceptionally rare. Both ammonites are complete and would make a wonderful display piece for the discerning collector. The matrix has a flat base for upright display purposes. Many hours of preparation has gone into this specimen. It resided in the late professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. Spiroceras is a Heteromorph (Uncoiled) ammonite and is rare from this locality on England's Jurassic coast. Fossils Direct is a premium collectors website. Approximately 167 million years old. |
