| description |
|
| A wonderful and unique concept of preparation. When light either natural sunlight or artificial is present at the back of the fossil, the aim is for it to resemble a rising sun above sculptured mountains within the matrix. The ammonite shell is a lovely pale yellow calcite. Lightening forks have been engraved coming down from the mountains to give the overall picture a more dramatic effect. Also the outer edge has been ground smooth and a high polish applied. A truly superb aquisition for the interior designer looking to achieve that extra edge. All preparation work and design on this specimen was carried out by Andy Cowap. |
