| description |
|
| This is an exceptionally rare multi-species split pair from the very famous fish beds of the Orkney Islands. On the split pair is a calcite line running through the matrix which only adds to the aesthetics of the specimen. Contained on the block is a Glyptolepis, (Partial 85mm long, an Osteolepis, more or less complete 160mm long and an Acanthodian 40mm long). These classic Devonian fish are highly sought after amongst the collecting fraternity and this would make an important addition to any collection. |
