| description |
|
| Phyllodus is an extinct genus of bony fish and usually only their palate's are fossilised. The locality where this complete palate was discovered in 1968 has now a small housing estate built upon it. The detail under magnification is absolutely stunning. A real collectible rarity. This fossil resided in the late professor GORDON WALKDEN collection. Approximately 50 million years old. Fossils Direct is a collectors website. |
