| description |
|
| Many hours of preparation has gone into this marvellous nautilus from England's Jurassic coast. The outer shell of the nautilus has been ground off to a gem smooth finish to reveal the internal chambers, then a professional polish applied for maximum aesthetics. The nautilus is solid calcite and has many beautiful colours. There is a small piece of matrix which the nautilus lies on for ease of display. Approximately 167 million years old. A superb and rare fossil. |
